Ascension Magick is a system of magickal practice for spiritual evolution, drawing from the wisdom of both traditional western Magick, Qabalah, Wicca and shamanism and the traditions of Theosophy, lightwork and eastern spirituality. Together we explore the truths common to many of the world's religions and magickal systems, and find the symbols and traditions that work for us on our personal path in the next aeon. Learn the meaning and origins of esoteric terms and traditions found in much of our modern metaphysical spirituality. Ascension Magick emphasizes a true partnership between those of us incarnated on Earth and those of our allies working in the spiritual realms to manifest a sustainable harmony here on Earth. $30 preregister and paid until August 1, then $35 after and day of class. Sunday Agusut 16: Witchy Crafternoon: Dreamcatchers Workshop: 1-4PM
Dream catchers are one of the most fascinating traditions of Native Americans. The traditional dream catcher was intended to protect the sleeping individual from negative dreams, while letting positive dreams through. The positive dreams would slip through the hole in the center of the dream catcher, and glide down the feathers to the sleeping person below. The negative dreams would get caught up in the web, and expire when the first rays of the sun struck them. Each Dreamcatcher weaves a story that you will learn when creating yours.
Refreshments will be provided. Please let us know of any dietary concerns/allergies when enrolling.
Students do not have to stay the full 3 hours (although we'd love to have you) and can leave when their Dreamcatcher is finished. Now part of our new and extremely popular CRAFTERNOON series, this workshop will be taught by E John Crowley, Lenapi Indian, member of The Lenni Lenape Wolf Clan, Elder and Shaman. Cost is ONLY $25 per person and includes all materials.
Sunday August 23: The Art of Tasseomancy: Tea Leaf Reading 1-4PM
Tea leaf reading is an ancient practice interpreting patterns made by tea leaves in the cup. In addition to the reading of tea leaves, the tradition of tasseomancy includes the reading of coffee grounds and wine sediments. Although tasseomancy is commonly associated with Gypsy fortunetellers, the tradition of tea leaf reading arises independently from Asia, the Middle East and Ancient Greece. The process of tasseomancy stimulates the imagination to create individualized interpretations and solutions. Tea leaf reading is a fun, healthful and creative way to listen to yourself and open your psychic abilities.
Students in this class will learn the history of Tea Leaf Reading, along with Symbology, Ritual and cup placement. They will also sample different teas, learn about the health benefits of certain types of teas, how to brew the perfect cup, and many other fun and interesting Tea facts! We ask students to dress for Ladies Tea in Summer Afternoon Attire (call us more more info) Tea Sand'witches' will be served during the class Tea Party and Lady Tara will show you how to read Tea Leaves for your own enjoyment ! How fun! She will be assisted in this class by Apprentice Reader and Professional Tea Specialist Melissa Pease.
Students will get to keep their tea cups for future readings and Tea Parties with Lady Tara and Melissa. Cost is $35 per person, and includes all of the above. Bring a friend and it's $30 each.
